Having hosted special celebrations for more than a century while remaining one of the Scottish Highlands' best kept secrets, the much-loved Victorian Ballroom at Glen Tanar is a hidden gem where lifelong memories are made.
Inviting, natural and timeless
The spacious and atmospheric ballroom reflects Glen Tanar's deep respect for nature and conservation. Picture dining and dancing on original oak floors, under soaring timber beams and vaulted ceilings adorned with more than 700 antlers collected from the estate, then letting your guests spill out onto the expansive lawns for garden games or drinks at dusk.
A rich Highland heritage
Built by Glen Tanar's original founder in 1869, the beautifully-crafted Victorian Ballroom was originally the music room in Glen Tanar House. Having played a part in Scotland's aristocratic past - hosting royalty, grand banquets and traditional ceilidhs - you'll still find hints of Victorian grandeur reflected in the intricate carvings, stained glass windows, roaring open fire and beautiful grand piano.
Now the space provides warm, welcoming and down-to-earth hospitality for newlyweds and their guests; a backdrop for only the most meaningful experiences and celebrations.
