Top 5 reasons for a Glen Tanar wedding

"We have always loved Glen Tanar growing up and are so lucky to have had our dream wedding there. It truly was the best day of our lives. Here are our top 5 reasons why we chose this beautiful venue for our big day:

1. The stunning setting 

The grounds of Glen Tanar are beautiful and we fell in love with the woodland greenery and stunning loch.  We have been on many walks around the estate and it has a magical fairy tale feel to it.  Perfect for our wedding!

2. The beautiful Ballroom 

The day we viewed the Ballroom, it was a wet and windy day but as soon as we entered the Ballroom the rain did not matter.  We felt like we were in a fairytale.  The fire was lit and the room had such a magical feel about it.  From the beautiful country estate decor to the majestic piano, everything was just perfect for our wedding day. 

3. Fantastic size of dance floor 

Our friends and family love a good dance and a ceilidh and the Ballroom dance floor is such a terrific size.  There are no excuses for guests not dancing.  There is plenty of room for everyone and we loved there was a perfect space for the band to play without jeopardising the size of the dance floor.

4. Cottages nearby for the wedding party to stay 

We rented three cottages for the weekend for the wedding party to stay.  The cottages are literally a stones through away from the Ballroom so perfect for us on the wedding day.  It was so special to have the wedding party together for the weekend.

Last but not least the wedding team at Glen Tanar made our day the best day of our lives.  Jane and Shona's love and enthusiasm to help us in anyway possible, fantastic organisation skills and being the most friendly and approachable people we know ticked off our last requirement on our dream wedding venue list.  They're an amazing team and made our day truly special.
