A one-of-a-kind Highland retreat where Scandi style meets Scottish comforts.

The perfect hideaway

Set on the bank of River Tanar and surrounded by towering Scots pine trees, you'll struggle to find a better backdrop for a romantic escape. Slip into the super-king bed or the double-ended roll-top bath, enjoy the peace and let your batteries slowly recharge.

Finding ties between old and new

This historic listed building dates back to the height of the Victorian era. You'll find a charming combination of historic features (like the original gatehouse pulley system) and contemporary treats for the soul (a fairy-lit outdoor hot tub with the prettiest views) in this reimagined home from home.

Steeped in fascinating history

Designed and built between 1871 and 1873, the Tower was originally an imposing entrance to the glen. Later, in 1918, Tower O'Ess was reimagined as an operational gatehouse by Lord Glentanar, Thomas Coats.

Please note: Tower O'Ess is not suitable for babies and children, and the rooftop is not accessible for guests.
