Testimonials
I have travelled extensively in the UK and abroad photographing wildlife. The people of Glen Tanar Estate provide an outstanding level of service and willingness to help. I have found none better anywhere else. Above all, they understand, value and care for their wildlife. They cater for all types of photographer and the experience is first class from booking to completion. The bonus for me is finding this gem on my door step!

I arrived early on the appointed day and received a warm welcome. I was driven along forestry roads for some time, before the steady climb through rough Heather began. Colin, my guide, kindly carried my heavy bag leaving me free to concentrate on the walk to the hide. After a briefing, the hide was fastened behind me, and I was left to concentrate on my photography.

I would like to say how much we enjoyed the Land Rover Safari that we took during our stay last year. We journeyed up to the high ground with spectacular views of Deeside. Half way through our trip we stopped amongst some ancient pine woods and had a cup of coffee and a piece of homemade shortbread before returning back to our cottage at the end of a most informative and exciting afternoon. We will most certainly be taking another safari next time.

We saw parts of Glen Tanar few get to see, learned so much about the history, the environment, the flora and the fauna, all in the expert and capable hands of our driver and guide Mike. The 3 hours passed so quickly we could very easily do a repeat trip and enjoy it just as much. If you love the hills, you will love this way of seeing them.

We had a great day - four trout (3 rainbow and a beautiful big brown) all returned. The osprey fishing alongside us was worth the visit alone.
