With experience in everything from guiding and wildlife tourism to casting and nature conservation, Glen Tanar's friendly, qualified and experienced team will help you get what you want out of your adventures, activities and outdoor pursuits.
Wildlife manager Adam Smith blends nature conservation with traditional Highland stalking and field sports, a result of his extensive wildlife management experience. He manages Glen Tanar’s deer population, keeping numbers in balance with the regeneration of the forest.
Deer stalker and ghillie Colin Espie guides shooting guests and, with his intimate knowledge of the entire estate, works on habitat management for a range of species. He helps manage the deer population and, during the fishing season, works the Deecastle beat on the River Dee.
The estate is easy to reach, within an hour's drive of Aberdeen and just over an hour from Dundee.
