Within easy reach of Glen Tanar are some of Scotland’s finest scenery and the best of Scottish cuisine.

You can visit the historic villages of Aboyne, Ballatar and Braemar, or explore the Victorian Heritage Trail, whisky distilleries and many castles and gardens – including the Royal estate at Balmoral.

For the more sporting inclined, nearby are many golf courses, a gliding club, canoeing on the River Dee and skiing at Glen Shee and the Lecht.
