No matter how you like to unwind and relax our cottages are an ideal place to start. We have a diverse range of accommodation and are sure to find a house to suit your needs. Each house has its own special qualities be it Rowan Cottage, a little stone bothy; West Lodge, a cedar shingle cottage or Birkelunn, a truly Norwegian log cabin. All are furnished to a high standard.

New for 2007 is the luxurious and beautifully-appointed Butler's Lodge, as its name suggests the former residence of the butler to Lord Glentanar. Completely refurbished and decorated in a comfortable, contemporary style, the house has been designed with bridal parties in mind. Just a stone's throw from the Ballroom, Butler's Lodge is ideal for spending a relaxing few days before and after the wedding.

All guests in our cottages are welcome to try another new service - Liz's Larder. Liz Peck, Glen Tanar's Housekeeper, offers homemade bread, jams, chutneys, home baking and a range of oven-ready meals for when you don't feel like cooking

Whether you want to take the time to experience everything Glen Tanar has to offer, explore further afield or are just looking for short break to unwind, everything you need to enjoy yourself isjust outside your door. Just remember to take home great memories of your stay on Royal Deeside.
