| Choosing a caterer can be daunting – always choose a good caterer and work within your budget. Ask for there advice. | |
| What flowers are required? Do you want fresh or silk? Buttonholes? Corsages? Does the venue allow flowers? Meet with the florist and check the details. | |
| Wedding dress, bridesmaids’ dress – easy to forget that the groom, best man and ushers all need to be consulted! | |
| The Cake – what do YOU want? Make sure you speak with the baker or supplier as fruit cakes require maturing before the icing can be applied. | |
| Time to spend some money – what rings will you be getting? Celtic, Traditional, Gold, Silver, plastic – remember that it may take some time to create works of art. | |
| Book the honeymoon. | |
| Start your wedding gift list – it may be that it is just travel vouchers you want! Let your guests know. | |
| Send out your invitations – sending your gift list is at this time is ideal as it gives your guests time to think about what to get you. And keep it updated. Supplying a map can also be very helpful. | |
| Make sure everyone has been fitted for any hired outfits. | |
| Music! What do want played – if anything! Try and play music that means something to you, this also applies to hymns and songs you may want in the chapel. | |
| Book your hairdressing and make-up sessions – have a practice first! | |
| Make sure your passport is valid. | |
| Ensure your Marriage Licence has been sorted. And Order of Service is important as this can act as a permanent memento. | |
| Check your seating plans – don’t want to forget Great Aunt! | |
| Organise your rehearsal – ideal time for checking outfits. Comfort becomes important near the end of the day. It also allows people to know what they should be doing on the day. | |
| Transport arrangements – is your car suitable? Do your guests need transport? | |
| Hen and Stag nights – give them both time so that you can recuperate – the day before is not a good idea! | |
| Above all – don’t forget to enjoy yourselves! |
