There are over 70 castles in the Grampian Highlands and nine of the most magnificent castles and houses are to be found along Scotland's only Castle Trail.

Fine examples of 17th Century Scottish Baronial architecture such as the beautiful Craigievar Castle, the Baroque mansion at Duff House or the magnificent ruins of 13th century Kildrummy Castle provide a varied and fascinating series of excursions into our region's history.
