Glen Tanar Visit
We had a visit from the chairman of the Cairngorms National Park Authority on Wednesday 22 April.
As well as participating in a tour of the estate on Wednesday, David Green opened a new easy-access trail to allow the public to enjoy Glen Tanar’s woodland and also discussed tourism and land management issues with estate owner, Michael Bruce.
Michael Bruce said: “Glen Tanar forms part of the unique Cairngorms National Park and is committed to delivering public benefits on site. This was an opportunity for us to discuss Glen Tanar’s support for community development and access management with Mr Green and we talked about matters such as timber production on the estate and its native woodland and wildlife management.”
“This visit will develop a deeper understanding between private business and public agencies about the complex issues involved in managing an estate.”
